City Hall plaza was again host to 12 restaurants competing in the 20th annual Chowderfest for the coveted award of  Best
Clam Chowder. The Times, the only truly family owned Boston restaurant competing, took the GOLD MEDAL having secured SILVER MEDAL in Chowderfest 2000. Twelve thousand people tasted, re-tasted and voted leaving the Times in no doubt that we are Boston’s Best and have the award to prove it !.



The Times, "not your typical Irish Pub",is
nestled in the disappearing shadows of  I..93 on bustling Broad St. It has solidly secured its reputation as a lively, energetic "Post Riverdance Pub", with great food and fine wine,20 beers on tap and entertainment five nights a week.

Our kitchen is now open on Sunday nights with our newly re-vamped Dinner Menu.

Wood Grilled Chicken Quesadillas $9    
Soft shell flour tortilla, stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese, grilled marinated
chicken breast and pico de Gallo. Garnished with salsa ranchera and sour cream.

Idaho potatoes delicately hollowed and stuffed

Tender cubes of prime beef slowly cooked with carrots and onions in a rich
Guinness Stout sauce seasoned with fresh herbs and served with our colcannon
potatoes and brown bread.

*Aged New York Sirloin $15

Aged 12 oz. steak wood-grilled and served very simply with blue cheese butter,
roasted fingerling potatoes sauteed string zucchini,and a drizzle 
of balsamic reduction.

* Oven Roasted Salter Chicken $ 12

Crisp skinned chicken seasoned with fresh rosemary and thyme on a bed of
colcannon potatoes,served with a Marsala win sauce and petit salad of Julienne
